For the past 15 years, artist Julie Green has painted images of death row inmates' last meal requests on plates as part of an ongoing project. She plans to paint 50 plates each year until capital punishment is abolished. The Block Museum will be displaying 600 of Green's plates, each accompanied by a description of the meal, a date and the state in which the inmate was executed, highlighting the anonymous nature of the death penalty.
