Highlighting paintings by Lynette Yiadom-Boakye and Norman Lewis, “Solidary & Solitary” tracks the history of abstract art made by African Americans since 1940 by featuring works from the Pamela J. Joyner and Alfred J. Giuffrida Collection. The exhibit also includes three new commissioned pieces by Chicago artists Bethany Collins, Samuel Levi Jones and Amanda Williams.
