Presenting 44 works of art from the Kashmir valley, this exhibition of Buddhist art from Kashmir examines how works created between 7th and the 13th centuries traveled across the continent and eventully to the U.S. and Europe. Visitors will learn about the religious significance of the art and the influence it had on the Western Himalayans. A companion exhibition, Collecting Culture: Himalaya through the Lens, explores the impact of American and European collectors on Kashmir's art and culture.
