"Assterpiece Theatre"

LA musician Ty Segall already manages to make the rest of us look bad by releasing (at minimum) one garage, psych and punk rock record per year. Now we've learned that he also finds the time to paint—this guy is productive with a capital 'P.' Drag City-affiliated gallery Soccer Club Club presents Segall's very first solo exhibition, entitled "Assterpiece Theatre." The show includes a selection of bold, colorful paintings that complements Segall's equally assured musical output. A free opening reception will feature music from Drag City head of staff Rian Murphy and DJs Hippie Whorehouse, as well as refreshments provided by Land and Sea Dept.
