Last minute Valentine’s plans in Chiang Mai

Get in your car (or call a Grab) and head to nearby Samoeng for an afternoon enjoying strawberries with your loved one. Sure, there’s loads of places you can go strawberry picking but as it happens, the Strawberry Festival is taking place meaning aside from fields of beautiful red ripe strawberries to pick and bite into romantically, there’s a whole load of events and activities also taking place, including a strawberry princess competition and a musical car parade. The much loved Jing Jai Market is today transformed into a Valentine’s Day special event with a handmade Valentine’s market to stroll around (bonus points for buying a few gifts for your loved one and helping the economy) and nice food offerings. However, the main show must be the makeshift open-air cinema with romantic movies playing from sunset to 10pm.
