To celebrate Chiang Mai’s fast growing original and independent music scene, Chiang Mai HO returns, rescheduled to December 11-13 with a schedule of nearly 30 live music performances across the city.

After rescheduling due to the devastating floods in Chiang Mai and Northern Thailand, Chiang Mai HO 2024 has rebooted under the banner ‘Original Spirits: It’s better to be original’, aiming to promote and support the province’s vibrant community of local music artists and original music.

This year’s event is the fifth annual music event organised by Chiang Mai Original – a non-profit community of local artists and musicians with an objective to promote Chiang Mai as a destination for authentic and original music, in turn providing better opportunities and exposure for local artists.

The event will showcase over 200 original songs performed by 27 artists at venues across the city in collaboration with Chiang Mai Design Week that is also happening in December.

A range of genres and styles will be on show, including performances by Suthep Band, Kurdsook, Anna Maria Olsen, Vajra, Vels., Echo Resort, The Glossy Band and Chiang Mai Blues.

Entrance to shows is free, with three main stages announced, namely The Haven Playground, Thapae East, and Rong Sadang Chiang Mai.

Schedules and more information about bands and performances can be found on the Chiang Mai Original Facebook community and the three main venue’s social media pages.
