It’s Chinese new year time again, this year entering the year of the Wood Snake. If you’re driving, avoid Chiang Moi road as it closes to traffic and opens to revellers looking to enjoy and make merit for the upcoming year. A spectacular lineup of events is expected, with light and sound shows such as the Golden Lion and Dragon Dance, a full-scale Thai-Chinese cultural and arts performance, Mister & Miss China Town Chiang Mai 2025 contests, Cute Chinese Guys and Girls contests as well as parades, parties, photo contests and even a cooking competition to promote Thai-Chinese culture.
