Considered one of the most important architectural photographers of the 20th century, Lucien Hervé became known above all for the way he played with light and shadow, how he managed to convey space, structure and texture in his photography of modernist buildings, particularly those by Le Corbusier and Oscar Niemeyer. This exhibition, specially conceived for the Cascais Cultural Centre and curated by architects Isabel Alvarenga and Victor Neves, focuses on the representation of the human figure and the city in Lucien Hervé's work, combining photography, architecture and sociology.
