Time Out says

What do the Lisbon Marches, the musicals by Filipe La Féria, the Carnival of Loures or Sesimbra, fashion productions by Maria Gonzaga or João Rolo, a wide variety of films, series or television programs have in common? Everyone goes to get the fabrics for the costumes from this historic house in Parede, which has become an authentic national reference. Opened in 1976 by Joaquim Augusto Bispo, it began as a small Loja do Povo, which sold all kinds of things, in the fashion of the time, until it gradually turned to textiles, a sector to which the businessman was already linked. In the 90s there was a huge remodeling that allowed the store's area to be substantially increased, and the name eventually changed to Bispos Tecidos, in order to pay homage to the family business. Today it is Joaquim's sons, Celso and António, who manage the company. They have four sections: fabrics, decoration, haberdashery and ready-to-wear, which complement each other. But fabrics remain kings and ladies at this store in the center of Parede, which welcomes customers from all over the country.
