The new Residente on Rua Amarela de Cascais focuses on healthy food and brunch dishes, although it also serves more composed meals. It is a project that brings together seven partners, including those responsible for the neighboring Malacopa and Senhor Manuel, but also the former owner of that space, which was previously an Italian restaurant.
The entries have been bestsellers. There is burrata with pesto rosso and crispy ham (12€), panko-breaded brie cheese with homemade red fruit jam (6€), tuna tartare on a bed of crispy rice (8€), crispy mushroom tempura with mayonnaise black garlic (€6) or veal carpaccio with capers and parmesan cheese (€13).
Also count on a wide variety of eggs, pancakes, toast and bowls – sweet (with açaí, muesli, pitaya or yogurt, for example), but also savory, including roast beef (€13), shrimp (12 €), falafel (€10) and tuna (€12). Among our favorites was the Croque do Residente (8€), a brioche bread toast with cheese, ham, fried egg and hollandaise sauce.
