Cinnamon rolls, banana bread, American cookies, brownies, brigadeiros, croissants, tartlets or sliced cakes. Poppy Pâtisserie is the right place to try original artisanal pastry products, created by Rebeca Catalão. There is always something new or another, so the menu is never completely fixed. The project started in 2020, first online; and since April 2023, it has moved to that space, where a classic grocery store had previously operated.
“I took a food production course, but I never practiced it”, explains Rebeca Catalão. “I thought it was very expensive. At the same time, I always really liked pastry and made cakes for friends. Therefore, it was a natural process, and the brand grew.” The space is not very large, but outside there is a cozy terrace, complete with a heater and cover on colder days.
