Some go there for the fish and shellfish specialities, like the filetes de pescada com arroz de berbigão (hake fillets with cockle rice) or the bacalhau à lagreiro (cod in olive oil), but there is also a selection of fine meat dishes, including iscas à portuguesa (Portuguese-style pork liver), costeletas de borrego (lamb ribs) and, to round it all off, touchinho do céu (almond cake). An unmissable classic down beside the bay in the heart of town.
