Right in the heart of town, Lota da Esquina has just opened in the old two-storey Docapesca building in Cascais, which had been closed for years. There couldn’t be a better way for chef Vítor Sobral, 55, to make his mark on the Linha, more specifically at the Bay of Cascais. Here, he’ll be serving mainly fish and seafood from our coast, along with some charcoal-grilled meats. Covering around two thousand square metres and with 400 seats, it’s his largest project yet. Though it’s one venue, Lota da Esquina actually brings together three concepts: a fish restaurant (Mar), a meat restaurant (Terra), and a bar with space for dancing.
