Honouring the great national and international voices in the world of music is the aim of a series of concerts that will enliven the agenda in Cascais. These tributes, performed by other voices inspired by the original artists' greatness, will introduce these iconic musicians to new generations and remind older ones of what it was like to hear them perform live.
The first concert is scheduled for 10 October, spotlighting the legacy of Amália and the Orquestra Clássica de Lisboa, conducted by Maestro Rui Pinheiro. The show, “Amália Sinfónico – As Grandes Canções da Rainha do Fado em Versão Sinfónica,” will feature classics such as “Cheira a Lisboa,” “Gaivota,” “Povo que Lavas no Rio,” and “Uma Casa Portuguesa.” Ticket prices range from 40€ to 80€.
In the following month, November, you can look forward to a double dose of tributes. The second artist to be honoured is Joe Dassin, with his son, Jonathan Dassin, taking the stage to perform his father’s greatest hits in a concert lasting over an hour. Tickets are priced between 25€ and 65€. The final concert is a tribute to Céline Dion, whose music has captivated audiences worldwide. Sébastien Costic, known for his exceptional impersonation of the Canadian singer, will be performing. Tickets for this event also range from 25€ to 65€.
The dates are set, and the venue is ready—all that’s left is to buy your tickets before they sell out.
