The Vegan Experience is gearing up for its fourth and biggest edition yet, but the mission remains the same as on day one: "to help families demystify veganism". Renata Sanders, a vegan for six years and co-founder of the project alongside Thatiana Brasil, sums it up perfectly.

This event, highlights the Brazilian entrepreneur from Rio Grande do Sul, isn't just for those who have already embraced this lifestyle: "It's primarily for non-vegans who want to learn more about it". In addition to a market, the event at FIARTIL in Estoril (taking place for the first time this Sunday, October 27th) will feature workshops, talks, cooking demonstrations, yoga sessions, documentary screenings, and activities for children, such as face painting, theatre, and mime - all in support of ending animal exploitation and creating a better future.

Doors open at 11.00, and with over 60 stalls to explore, there will be hand-sewing workshops (11.00) and plate illustration sessions (16.00); yoga classes (12.00, 15.00, 16.00, and 17.00); talks on activism and animal rights (13.30) or motherhood and veganism (14.30); and cooking demonstrations featuring natural products (13.00), cooking with kids (14.30), or healthy lunchboxes (16.00). At noon, attendees can watch the documentary Carne, a Pegada Insustentável and there will be two exchange zones: one for books and another for clothing.

Entry and most activities are free, except for art therapy (€15) and the hand-sewing workshop (€25). In the Kids' Area, children can dance, listen to stories, draw, enjoy face painting, and participate in a gardening workshop.

The market is also pet-friendly: dogs and cats are welcome and don’t pay a thing. You can find the full schedule on the event's Instagram page.

FIARTIL (Estoril). 27 Oct, Sun 11.00-20.00. Free entry
