This Saturday, January 11th, Impactrip - the only B-Corp-certified travel agency in Portugal - celebrates 10 years of hard work closely tied to volunteering, with a strong focus on environmental and social concerns. The party includes a full day of activities in Cascais.
In the morning, from 9am to 1pm, there’s a beach cleanup at Cascais Bay, open to the community. The goal? To collect 100 kilos of rubbish, which will then be handed over to artist PIT, who’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece of art from recycled materials.
In the afternoon, starting at 2pm, the event moves to the Impact Beach House in São João do Estoril, a hostel owned by the agency. Expect cake, candles, and a proper celebration, but also a volunteer fair where you can get to know their social and environmental partner organisations.
Since it was founded in 2015, Impactrip has placed thousands of volunteers in programs promoting community impact, cultural immersion, and personal growth. To date, over 21,000 kilos of rubbish have been removed from the ocean.
