The ninth edition of the Teatro Entre Nós Festival is coming up, taking place between March 14th and 30th at the Carlos Avilez Auditorium, in Academy of Arts of Estoril. The programme includes 14 performances of various theatrical genres, performed by 13 amateur theatre groups. This year, there are two premieres: from the Festiva Enseada Theatre Group and the Bate Palco - UNIS Sassoeiros Theatre Group.
The programme kicks off on March 14th at 21.30 with a performance of Grease - Brilhantina by the Cascais Musical Society Theatre Group. This will be followed by A Midsummer Night's Dream (March 15th, 16.00) by the SMUP Youth Theatre Company; A Farça de Inês Pereira (March 15th, 21.30) by the On Air Theatre Group of GRD 1º de Maio from Tires; Leandro, Rei da Helíria (March 16th, 11.30) by the Carcavelos Amateur Theatre; and Desfile de Emoções - Memórias (March 16th, 16.00) by the Bate Palco - UNIS Sassoeiros Theatre Group.
Next, the Teatro Entre Nós Festival will present Arte (March 21st, 21.30) by the Theatre Workshop of GMD 31 de Janeiro from Manique de Baixo; 3 2 1 Ação! (March 22nd, 16.00) by the GIPA Theatre Group; A Hipocondríaca (March 22nd, 21.30) by the Talaus Teatro from GSM Desportiva de Talaíde; and a performance of Les Misérables (March 23rd, 11.30) by the Carcavelos Musical Theatre from SRM de Carcavelos.
Also featured will be the performances Ai, o Stress!!! (March 23rd, 16.00) by Talaus Teatro of GSM Desportiva de Talaíde; Os Guardiões da Ilha Encantada (March 29th, 16.00) by the Festiva Enseada Theatre Group; A Casa de Bernarda Alba (March 29th, 21.30) by the In Cena Theatre Group of GRD 1º de Maio from Tires; A Princesa Que Não Sabia Espirrar (March 30th, 11.30) by the Carcavelos Children's Theatre of SRM de Carcavelos; and A Prima Eugénia (March 30th, 16.00) by the SFR da Malveira da Serra Theatre Group.
Admission is free for all performances, although seating is limited to the capacity of the venue. This is an initiative promoted by the Cascais Municipal Chamber in partnership with the D. Luís I Foundation and the Cascais Experimental Theatre, aiming to give visibility to the local theatre groups in the municipality.
