Throughout March and April, the Armada Band will be hosting various chamber music concerts at the Palácio da Cidadela de Cascais. The Sunday Melomania concert series, brought to you by the Museum of the Presidency of the Republic and the Portuguese Navy, takes place in the Glass Hall of the Palace, overlooking Cascais Bay.

Until the end of April, quartets, quintets, and octets featuring winds, brass, saxophones, clarinets, and flutes will take the stage every Sunday at 11 am (except on March 10th and 31st). On April 21st, in a special twist, the music shifts from classical to a performance by the Armada Band's Dixieland, a six-musician ensemble playing New Orleans-style jazz & blues.

The concert series kicked off this Sunday, March 3rd, with the Armada Band's wind quintet, composed of flute, oboe, horn, bassoon, and clarinet players, who performed pieces by Händel, Joly Braga Santos, Mozart, Strauss, and others.

The sessions are free to enter, but space is limited and registration is required. Simply send an email to museu@presidencia.pt or call (926 045 883/ 213 614 660).

Av. Dom Carlos 246, Cascais. Free entry; March 3, 17, and 24 and April 7, 14, 21, and 28.
