After eight years at Areia, even reaching Guincho Beach, Páteo do Guincho has now found a new home at Cascais Marina. The restaurant moved at the end of May to the new space, which underwent three months of renovations, and now presents itself with a fresh look (very stylish!) and a renewed menu.
"We were looking for a place with better conditions, but still within the Cascais region, where we are from and where we are already established", explains Francisco Vidal, one of the partners of Páteo do Guincho, who also owns Pátios do Petisco at Torre and Mercado da Vila.

With 140 seats available, spread between the indoor dining area and the extensive terrace, many of the dishes that became well-known at Guincho (and also in their other locations) remain on the menu. However, there are also new delights to try, such as the whole osso buco (45€), served with mashed potatoes and recommended for three people, and the lighter and fresher salmon or tuna tacos (14€), perfect for the hot season. As always, there is a variety of small plates for sharing and a selection of meat, fish, and salad dishes to choose from.

Examples? The Guincho salad (17€), made with couscous, cherry tomatoes, grilled vegetables, and coriander leaves; the Guincho sirloin steak (23,50€); the 900-gram chuletón (54€); linguini vongole (17€); or octopus fillets with rice (19,50€); among many other options.

In the navy
"To better fit into the marina environment, we have renovated the tableware and opted for a more nautical aesthetic", says Francisco. "We wanted to present something different". "Cascais Marina has gained new life in recent years, and it made perfect sense for us to be here".
The group — owned by Francisco Vidal along with partners Frederico Vidal, Filipe Pinto Gomes, Lopo Cancela de Abreu, and Bruno Leste — also operates concepts like Páteo do Petisco and Burguês - Portuguese Hamburgueria. With Páteo do Guincho relocating to the Marina and considering the need to expand their service, they closed Pereira restaurant in Cascais to transform it into a preparation kitchen for the new establishment, given the scale of operations. "There is much more activity here", explains Francisco Vidal.

They plan to soon open a Páteo do Petisco and a Burguês - Portuguese Hamburgueria in the renovated Parede Market. "I think they will be ready within two months", he adds.
