World Day for Physical Activity is celebrated in over 120 countries, and Portugal is no exception. On the morning of April 6th, Avenida Marginal – the road linking Cascais to Lisbon, passing through Oeiras – will be car-free and transformed into a space brimming with sports activities. This initiative is promoted in partnership by the three municipalities.

The activities will occupy a stretch of over 15 kilometres of the Marginal, from Parede to Alcântara, between 10.00 and 13.00. In Cascais, you'll find climbing, bouldering, traditional games, fitness circuits, group classes, a skills track, mini-tennis, inflatables, pedal-powered vehicles, and an obstacle course.

All activities are organised by local sports entities and are free of charge. With the Marginal closed to traffic, you’ll have the perfect opportunity to stroll, cycle, scoot, rollerblade, or skateboard throughout the morning.

Marginal Avenue. 10.00-13.00. Free of charge

Heads-up: these are the major events happening in Cascais in 2025
