The Infinito urban art festival is back in Cascais, specifically in the neighbourhood where it first began in 2018 and has been adding colour to its walls. The theme for 2024 is "Collab", bringing together four pairs of artists in Torre, which has become a true open-air gallery. "We believe that collaboration makes us stronger. We've felt it in our homes and streets, and now we're bringing it to our walls, mixing visions and enriching our buildings. Side by side, eight artists will leave their mark on four walls", describes the organisation on its Facebook page.

Add Fuel, Halfstudio, Youthone, Moami, Gonçalo Mar, Kiam, Huario, and Jio are the guests for this year. Their work can be watched live until Sunday, September 8th. For those who can't make it to see the artists in action during these days, the process can be followed on the festival's Instagram, or you can view the final results starting from Monday.
The Torre neighbourhood was once one of the most problematic and vandalised areas in Cascais, until a group of young people came together to form the Associação Somos Torre. Between 2016 and 2017, they launched an urban renewal project through urban art. The first edition of the Infinito Festival in 2018 transformed eight facades in the neighbourhood. Today, there are dozens of painted facades throughout the municipality—indeed, in some editions, Infinito has extended beyond Torre, with urban artists also working in the centre of Cascais and areas such as Alcoitão, Abuxarda, São Pedro do Estoril, Fim do Mundo, and São Domingos de Rana.

This time, everything is happening again in Torre—and for the first time, in pairs. "There is a place that shapes us and to which we always return. A place that is home. The Torre neighbourhood is that place for us. Where we come back after a tiring day. Where we celebrate. Where we reconnect with family and friends. And where we return now with the sixth edition of this open-air gallery! From 1st to 8th of September, the neighbourhood will once again come to life with colour, and this time, the paints blend in a different way. Because the best stories are painted in sharing!" they write in another post.
