Great news from the other side of the mountain! Arribas Sintra Hotel has renewed its commitment to non-guests, allowing them to enjoy the pool without needing to stay overnight. This is one of the largest saltwater pools in Europe (stretching about 100 meters and featuring two diving boards) situated right above Praia Grande with stunning sea views. Although it is part of the Hotel Arribas, access is not exclusive to guests and - attention families - there is an area just for the kids.

There are many sunbeds and parasols, but also many interested visitors, so it's best to go early to secure a good spot. During July and August, adults pay 20€ on weekdays and 23€ on weekends and public holidays, while children (aged 5 to 9) pay 10€ on weekdays and 12€ on weekends and public holidays. Family tickets (for two adults and two children) are available for 52€ on weekdays and 60€ on weekends and public holidays. For those planning to make regular visits, prepaid packs are the best option: ten entries on weekdays for 160€, or ten entries for weekends and public holidays for 195€.

And after so many swims, one thing is certain: you'll likely have a big appetite, especially among the children, who will want an ice cream. The destination? It’s close by—just climb a few stairs to Arribas Caffé. It’s perfect for grabbing a light bite before returning to the pool or for enjoying the late afternoon while watching the sunset and toasting to another great summer day.
