Gleba lands on Parede’s iconic corner

Where the classic Pastelaria Marta once stood, there’s now a Gleba, serving up artisanal bread, charcuterie, and granola. It’s the group’s 24th store - and the fourth along the coast.

The opening was initially set for late 2024 as part of an ambitious expansion plan, Diogo Amorim told Time Out last October. But after a few delays, Gleba has finally landed in Parede this month. The artisanal bakery - the brand’s 24th and the fourth along the Coast, following Cascais, Estoril, and CascaiShopping - has taken over a well-known neighbourhood corner, home for decades to the iconic Pastelaria Marta.

Here, customers will find the usual naturally leavened bread and in-house pastries, alongside an extensive grocery selection featuring perfect pairings - from olive oil to cheese and butter, from wine to charcuterie, smoked goods, and preserves. Gleba’s own branded products also make the cut, including granolas, nut butters, caramelised nuts, crackers, and flours.

Just like in Cascais (and an increasing number of other Gleba locations, from Telheiras and Restelo to Príncipe Real in Lisbon), Parede will also offer a café service. Coming soon, specialty coffee from Sgt. Martinho will join a menu already featuring toasties, sandwiches with Coimbra butter, Comté Entremont cheese, La Selva artisanal ham, and grilled cheese sandwiches (both the classic and a pesto-and-roast-tomato version).

Inside, it's all about the bakery and grocery. Outside, a covered terrace awaits.
