Surf fans have one more reason to head to the Cascais coast in the coming weeks. This Thursday, September 19th, a surf photography exhibition opens at Nova SBE University in Carcavelos, marking 10 editions of the Capítulo Perfeito powered by Billabong.
Capítulo Perfeito takes place at Carcavelos Beach, bringing together some of the best tube riders in the world. The surf competition only happens when the sea conditions are ideal, ensuring a "perfect chapter" for everyone involved.
In this exhibition – free to visit until October16th – visitors can relive some of the most iconic moments from the championship’s history over the past decade. The latest edition was won by Portuguese surfer Tiago Stock, and the exhibition features shots of other surfers like Rob Machado, Clay Marzo, Tiago "Saca" Pires, Nicolau Von Rupp, Pedro Boonman, João Maria Mendonça, Tiago Oliveira, Rodrigo Herédia, Bruno Santos, and Anthony Walsh riding the waves.
"We want the public to feel the magic and intensity of tube waves through the eyes of the photographers who captured these moments over the past 10 years. Each photo tells a story of resilience, technique, and passion for surfing, and this exhibition is our way of extending the unique experience that is Capítulo Perfeito", explains Rui Costa, the event’s founder, in a statement.
