With the physical and mental health of Cascais residents in mind, the "Health in Focus" initiative extends over five days with educational activities in the areas of nutrition, sports, dance and useful health information.

The program kicks off this Friday, April 5, and runs until the 10th, featuring a dance presentation, a showcooking event, a zumba class, intergenerational games, and laughter yoga. During the first three days, health assessments will be available in the Gardens of the Casino Estoril.

The health-focused program also includes space for Nutrition Days, focusing on health, safety, and sustainability. Three webinars will take place from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. on April 9, led by teachers, specialists, researchers, and psychologists, covering topics such as cooking skills, the Mediterranean diet, and promoting health behaviors.

On the last day of activities, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., the Conversas da Gandarinha restaurant will host lectures featuring more nutrition experts. Topics to be addressed throughout the morning include Plant-Based Diets - A Trend Worth Following?, Nutrition in the First 1100 Days of Life - Opportunities for Intervention in Primary Healthcare, and the Impact of Food Insecurity on Mental Health.

Various locations. April 5-10. Free admission.
