Summer festivals are stacking up big names, and the latest to join the lineup is Benjamin Clementine, the first act confirmed for next year’s Ageas Cooljazz. He’ll perform on Friday, July 4th, at the Hipódromo Manuel Possolo in Cascais.
In his recent performances in Portugal — in 2023 at Sagres Campo Pequeno, the Super Bock Arena, and this year at NOS Alive — the British singer-songwriter focused on songs from And I Have Been (2015) and At Least for Now (2022). What he has planned for this show remains a mystery.
Especially since, before travelling to Portugal in 2023, he assured Time Out that his most recent album of originals, And I Have Been, was “just the first part of a trilogy. The second was supposed to come out [in 2023]”. So far, it hasn’t surfaced.
According to the organisers, three more names are yet to be revealed for this date. However, tickets are already available online and at the Cascais Visitor Centre, priced between €30 (standing area) and €60 (gold seating).
