The Carlos Botelho Atelier officially reopened to the public on January 18th. Starting in February, it will host the programming of CASA - Creative Activities Lab, which includes initiatives related to ceramics, sewing, typography, dance, drawing, or wood sculpture, among others.
The idea is for this to be a space open to the community, focused on cultural and civic development, while also honoring the artist Carlos Botelho — a painter, illustrator, and caricaturist who used the space for his creative work.
The program can be checked on the official website of the non-profit association CASA, which now manages this space donated by the Municipality of Cascais. The space's garden will also be used for activities, and there will be specific programs for kids.
