You can feel it in the air. A change in the seasons is coming, and with Autumn on the horizon, your days of enjoying the Galileo Open Air Cinema are numbered. Happily, March brings a packed schedule of theme weeks and special screenings, at six unforgettable venues across Cape Town.

Surfers and water-babies won't want to miss the annual Wavescape Film Festival, which drops in at Kirstenbosch Garden on Friday, March 7. As always, expect a mixture of short clips and longer features exploring the world of riding waves. Highlights this year include Changing Tempo, Where We Thrive, and The Source.

Mid-March shines the spotlight on South Africa's 'golden girl' Charlize Theron, with a week of screenings featuring some of her best work. Settle in at Kirstenbosch Gardens for  Long Shot, Mad Max: Fury Road, Kubo & The Two Strings  (family-friendly animation)  and The Italian Job.

And Ryan Reynolds brings the Ken-ergy the following week, with Ryan Reynolds Week (it's three days, but Ken wouldn't notice anyway) from Thursday, March 27 to Saturday, March 29. Screenings take place at both Battery Park and Kirstenbosch Garden, with the now-legendary  Deadpool, IF  (family-friendly animation), and the beloved classic  The Proposal.

In between all of those gems there's a full schedule of classic flicks and sing-a-long favourites. Here's the full line-up of what's on at Galileo Open Air Cinema in March.
