Listen up kwaito fans! TKZee will be in the Kirstenbosch area on Saturday, February 8, as they take to the stage at Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, warming up the crowd for Soul II Soul.

The British hitmakers and South African stars are in town for the one-night-only Intimate Evening Series, which kicks off the new year with great tunes and good vibes. While Soul II Soul will bring the goods with the classic singles 'Keep On Movin'' and the huge hit 'Back To Life (However Do You Want Me)', much-loved local stars TKZee will entertain the crowds with their unique fusion of kwaito, hip-hop, classical, house and gospel.

TKZee defined the kwaito sound of the late-90s, with founding members Tokollo Tshabalala, Kabelo Mabalane and Zwai Bala quickly becoming the biggest-selling kwaito band in South African musical history. 1998 was a banner year, with the trio bagging five South African Music Awards for their album 'Halloween'. If your foot doesn't tap along to tracks like 'Magesh' and 'Dlala Mapantsula', you'll want to check your pulse!

Although Tokollo passed away suddenly in 2022, Kabelo and Zwai still fly the flag high for TKZee and will be lighting up the stage at Kirstenbosch... hold thumbs for classic tracks including 'Shibobo', 'Nkalakatha' and 'Mambotjie'. Don't miss this rare chance to catch South Africa's kwaito kings live! Tickets, from R805, are available on Webtickets .
