Good news for travellers jetting into Cape Town – or locals heading off to the ski slopes of Europe – this summer.
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has added an extra direct flight between Amsterdam and Cape Town, bumping the total to 10 flights per week between the two cities.
The new flight kicks in on January 10, 2025 and will run until the end of the summer season.
‘We have seen a tremendous surge in demand for our flights to Cape Town, particularly during the summer season when travellers are eager to explore the city’s breathtaking landscapes and vibrant culture,’ said Wilson Tauro, Country Manager for Southern Africa at Air France-KLM. ‘By increasing our frequency to ten flights per week, we’re able to provide even more seamless connections for our customers, ensuring that they can enjoy their journey with comfort, convenience, and our world-class service.’
Aside from the new flight, KLM usually offers a daily service from Cape Town to Amsterdam – connecting to KLM’s 155 worldwide destinations – but from December 17, 2024, until the end of the summer season will increase its capacity to Cape Town with two additional flights per week on Tuesdays and Sundays. And now there's a third addition!
