The much-loved Bluey is heading to Cape Town later this year for 23 live performances at the Artscape.
From 27 June to 6 July 2025, Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show will be brought to life for kids of all ages (Yes, even you, dad).
This live show is a theatrical adaptation of the BAFTA and Emmy Award-winning animated children’s television series produced by Ludo Studio.
Cape Town families will be able to experience the joy of seeing Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad in their first ever theatre show.
All performances will feature brilliantly created puppets, iconic sets, live actors and all-new music.
Bluey’s Big Play The Stage Show has received rave reviews after touring the world and has even been nominated for an Olivier Award for Best Family Show in 2024.
For those unfamiliar with Bluey, it was 2024’s most-watched series globally on Disney+, while in South Africa, Bluey is ranked #1 on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and CBeebies.
The show follows the lives of Bluey, Bingo, Mum and Dad Heeler as they go about their lives in Australia, with each episode providing either a lesson or an emotional rollercoaster ride - with the latter often affecting the parents watching more than the kids (Yes, I am speaking from experience. No, I am not ashamed to admit it).
