Halloween is already making its presence felt in Buenos Aires, where plenty of options are available to celebrate this spooky yet fun occasion. Here’s our selection of the best spots for a “horrifyingly” good time.

1. Bulebar

This bar-restaurant in the Saavedra neighborhood will be celebrating Halloween all week long. Yes, Bulebar's festivities will run from Monday, October 28, to Sunday, November 3, with the entire venue decorated to immerse visitors in a festive and mysterious atmosphere.

On October 28, they’re launching the “Tiffany” cocktail, an exclusive creation that will become the flagship drink of Halloween week. It’s served in a tall glass decorated with an orange peel and a bloodshot eye, and includes tequila, lemon juice, vermouth, a mysterious acidic twist, and a syringe filled with a sweet and spicy red potion for guests to add at the table.

Additionally, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 9 p.m., guests can enjoy free tarot sessions. The highlight will be on Saturday, November 2, with fire performances that will light up the night, followed by a special Halloween DJ set. There’s also an artistic makeup station where guests can embrace the Halloween spirit with themed makeup.

2. Orno

This cantina/pizzeria with branches in Olivos and Palermo will be celebrating Halloween with a double event: October 31 and November 1, featuring a special menu, Drag Bingo, a DJ, and costumes.

On October 31 at 9:30 p.m., Orno's Olivos location will host a special Halloween Drag Bingo, where attendees are encouraged to actively join the game. The next day, November 1, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., the event moves to the rooftop bar on the first floor of the Palermo location. Here, DJ Malibu, dressed for the occasion, will take center stage. The menu will include a “terror pumpkin pizza” with black dough and pumpkin punch, alongside a range of themed cocktails.

3. OH NO! LULU Tiki Bar

On Thursday, October 31, starting at 8 p.m., OH NO! LULU will host its annual tiki-style Halloween party, one of the most anticipated events in Buenos Aires’ bar scene. Guests can expect original cocktails, DJ Fergie, and a fully themed decor, with costumes and accessories highly encouraged.

Details: Ludovico De Biaggi, the bar manager, will prepare signature drinks for the occasion, including “IT” (Tanqueray Gin, Fernet Branca, Aperol, Lemon, Mandarin Cordial) and “Sleepy Hallow” (Smirnoff Vodka, Verjus, Pumpkin Puree, Coconut Milk, Maple Syrup).

4. Ribs al Río

This restaurant specializing in Texan wood-smoked flavors is joining the Halloween celebrations in partnership with Harley Davidson. On October 31, starting at 7 p.m., their Costanera location will welcome 100 Harley riders, who will arrive in costume after one of their classic rides through the northern suburbs. To complete the event, there will be a special DJ set, and guests in costume can enjoy unlimited Gordons gin throughout the evening.

5. Mixtape

On October 31, Pablo Pignatta's kissa bar will celebrate Halloween with a special event as part of the “Cups Full of Music” series. Mixtape will feature guest bartender Florencia Nahir from Verne Club, winner of the 2024 Margarita Challenge. Florencia will present an exclusive selection of signature cocktails, curating the night’s music as well. Hosts Pablo Pignatta and head bartender Brenda Asís will lead the event.

The night will also include a collaborative pop-up with Taquería Díaz, offering a variety of tacos and nachos to pair with the evening’s drinks.

Details: Mixtape, a hidden listening bar on the terrace of Haiku restaurant in Belgrano, is known for its signature cocktails and exclusive omakase bar led by master Takeshi Shimada.

6. Casa Cavia

On Thursday, October 31, from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m., this iconic spot in Palermo Chico will host its legendary Halloween party themed around the “Joker.” Guests are invited to dress up and enjoy an exceptional culinary and cocktail experience in the atmospheric Casa Cavia garden, decorated specifically for the occasion.

In line with the Joker theme, visitors can enjoy signature cocktails created by Flavia Arroyo, head bartender, featuring special mixes with Tanqueray and Johnnie Walker. Additionally, the evening’s gastronomic offerings, designed by executive chef Julieta Caruso, will include a wide variety of à la carte dishes.
