It's February in Buenos Aires, and the heat won't let up. Are you in the mood to go out and enjoy a cold beer without melting in the process? Then keep reading, because we recommend some amazing places in Buenos Aires with gardens or outdoor spaces where you can escape the heat and have a great time.

1. Moby Dick Pub & Grill

Moby Dick is many places in one: a restaurant perfect for an outdoor lunch and the ultimate pub for an afternoon of beers with friends. It has several areas, but the patio is undoubtedly the best spot for this time of year. There are different seating options: at the bar, high tables, low tables, in the sun, or under the shade of trees.

At night, string lights add to the ambiance. The menu ranges from Pad Thai shrimp (sautéed shrimp in honey and cinnamon on a bed of rice noodles in oyster sauce) to thin-crust pizzas that are a must-try. If you love seafood, pair it with an Imperial IPA, and if you're a pizza fan, go for a Golden.

Tip: From Wednesday to Friday, from 12 to 4 PM, you can enjoy a set lunch menu with an appetizer and main course, featuring several classic options.

Where: Av. Costanera Rafael Obligado 6350

2. Manso

This is a fantastic way to feel like you're on vacation without leaving Buenos Aires—especially since the city tends to be less crowded in summer. Located on the shores of Nordelta’s Central Lagoon, it offers the unique experience of dining literally over the water.

Manso has a large pier with tables for outdoor dining or snacks while enjoying the sunset. The house specialty is grilled dishes, so we recommend trying the Picaña al Gancho with roasted vegetables, paired with an ultra-refreshing Imperial Golden.

Tip: For reservations, contact +54 9 1141844058. Open Tuesday to Sunday.

Where: Av. de los Lagos 1050, Rincón de Milberg, Nordelta.

3. Austria

There are many ways to travel without leaving the city—like dining by a lagoon, relaxing in an open-air patio, or experiencing flavors from around the world. This place offers the latter two.

The menu features a variety of Central European cuisine, served in a patio where tables sit comfortably under trellises and linden trees. The house specialty is charcuterie, but we highly recommend trying the goulash croquettes and the sausage tasting platter (featuring six different varieties). Whatever you choose, pair it with a fresh Imperial beer—they offer IPA, Extra Lager, and APA.

Tip: From Monday to Friday, 12 to 4 PM, they offer a set menu with a main dish, drink, and dessert. Plus, from Monday to Friday, 5:30 to 8:30 PM, they have a 2-for-1 cocktail special when paying in cash.

Where: Roque Sáenz Peña 1138, San Isidro

4. Malloy’s

Great food, cold beers, and lounge chairs overlooking the river make this a fantastic summer plan without leaving the city. Malloy’s is styled like a Caribbean beach bar and features outdoor tables for a sunny lunch.

From the menu, we recommend classics like the Napolitana milanesa or the BBQ ribs. For the best experience, take your time and enjoy the lounge chairs, strategically placed in front of the Río de la Plata, with an ice-cold Imperial beer in hand.

Tip: No reservations are needed since the place is huge. Once you finish your meal, you can stay as long as you like to enjoy the atmosphere.

Where: Sebastián Elcano 1723, Martínez.

5. Club de la Birra

Drinking a beer outdoors on a summer afternoon is a must—at least once a week! And even more so if you’re on vacation. At the Club de la Birra location inside the San Isidro Racecourse, you can enjoy a sunset under the trees with views of the stables.

For an even greater escape-from-the-city vibe, we recommend the camping-style tables. From the menu, burgers steal the spotlight: Try the Jack BBQ burger (double smash patty, double cheddar, bacon, crispy onion, barbecue sauce, and parmesan bun), paired with an Imperial Roja for the perfect experience.

Insider tip: On Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, they host live music and DJ events after dinner.

Where: Av. Márquez & Av. Flemming, San Isidro Racecourse.
