Summer calls for water. And the Buenos Aires city offers plenty of options. That's why we've compiled a list of the best pools in Buenos Aires and its surroundings: from clubs and sports complexes to water parks and hotels, all opening their doors to the public to enjoy a refreshing dip.

1. Parque Norte

A classic in Buenos Aires that should not be missed on your summer plans list. Parque Norte has more than five pools, some with water slides and areas specially designed for children. It is the perfect place to enjoy with your family, as everything is designed for kids.

The space is huge, with modern facilities, playgrounds for the little ones, soccer, tennis, and padel courts, and many green areas, perfect for a picnic or a nap between swims. The park also offers buffet and confectionery services and rental of lounge chairs and umbrellas.

Note: Children under 11 years old cannot enter the pool area alone, and a health check before entry is mandatory.

Hours: Every day from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

2. Open Park Land

3. Polideportivo Parque Chacabuco

In addition to refreshing yourself, you can take advantage of the free swimming lessons and recreational activities organized by the park team, ideal for both beginners and those looking to improve their swimming skills.

Note: Like all pools in the city, they open to the general public once the summer camps have finished, offered by the City Government in parks and sports complexes.

Hours: Monday to Friday from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

4. Sheraton Buenos Aires Hotel

The sports complex also offers recreational and sports activities during the summer, including aquagym classes and water games for kids.

Note: It is located right in front of Plaza Mafalda, so if you go with kids, you can complement your visit with some time at the plaza before or after swimming.

10. Club Atlético Atlanta

If there is a true oasis in Villa Crespo, it is Club Atlético Atlanta. Famous for its soccer stadium, it is also known for its sports facilities, multi-sports gyms, and its large swimming pool, which welcomes both "bohemians" and neighborhood residents wanting to dive in on hot days.

The complex offers equipped locker rooms, barbecue areas, leisure spaces, a dry square, a green space plaza, and a food truck area.

Note: Its restaurant, Los Bohemios, one of Buenos Aires' most famous bodegones, has windows overlooking one of the courts, where there is almost always a match to watch.
