Buenos Aires is a must-visit city—there’s no doubt about it. It’s full of amazing places that are perfect for taking the best Instagram photos. Forget the typical and obvious spots, and get ready to discover hidden gems we’ve picked just for you.

1. Solar De French

Right in the heart of San Telmo, you’ll find La Galería Solar de French, a cultural and commercial space located in a historic house. As soon as you step in, you’ll be greeted by a sky filled with colorful umbrellas. Yes, just as you read! It has a unique decoration that makes it the perfect place to take beautiful photos.

Nahuel Díaz Rivero, one of the managers, was inspired by a trip to Italy where he saw a street decorated with colorful umbrellas. He thought it would be the perfect idea to give the gallery a special touch, as it needed to attract more people during the week.

Cafecito Rosa, located on Arroyo Street—known as one of the most Parisian streets in the city—is the perfect place for unique photos and a delightful gastronomic experience. Its all-pink environment, filled with flowers, swings, and decorated mirrors, makes it an ideal setting for the best Instagram shots.

In addition to its perfectly curated aesthetic, where every detail is thoughtfully designed, it stands out for its food offerings, especially its coffees, decorated hot chocolates, and the house cake with chocolate, berries, and walnuts. The Mafalda sculpture in San Telmo is a tribute to Quino, the creator of the famous comic strip character. It was inaugurated in 2009 at the corner of Chile and Defensa streets. The chosen location isn’t random: Quino lived at Chile 371 for many years.

The sculpture, created by artist Pablo Irrgang, shows Mafalda sitting on a bench, inviting people to take a photo. It became so popular that in 2014, Susanita and Manolito were added.

If you’re strolling through San Telmo and have time, you’ll find sculptures of other iconic Argentine characters throughout the neighborhood.

Tip: Be prepared to wait in line, as there’s always a queue for photos with Mafalda, Susanita, and Manolito, so you’ll need a bit of patience.
