There’s no spring sunset without beer, and no beer without a tasty pairing. The experience becomes complete when you add good music, an incredible setting, and lots of people enjoying the best time of the day. This tempting combination will reach its peak next Saturday, October 19, when the 1st Edition of the Time Out Experience by Imperial takes place at Campo Argentino de Polo.

The food pairings will be conceived and executed by some of the top chefs in Buenos Aires, who will treat visitors present at the Imperial Beerhouse (Av. del Libertador 4096). From 6 PM to midnight, one of the best spots in Buenos Aires to watch the sunset will turn into an experience that will outshine any other plan in the city.

Important: Admission is free but with limited capacity, so we recommend arriving early to secure your spot

Since diversity is richness, each chef will have their own station where you can try their offerings, each paired with different varieties of Imperial beer. To maximize your enjoyment, we’ve added a few pairing suggestions to test out that night.

  • If you choose the Shrimp Roll (a classic shrimp sandwich with cocktail sauce) by Oli, we recommend pairing it with an Imperial APA. The citrus notes from the hops in this beer will contrast with the lime in the dish, creating an explosion of flavors in your mouth.
  • For the Triangoli stuffed with portobellos, oyster mushrooms, and champignons, with cashew cream cheese (served with cream and pesto) by Tita La Vedette, without a doubt, we suggest an Imperial Roja, which adds just the right sweetness to accompany the sauce in this dish.
  • If you’re in the mood for pizza that day, Ti Amo will be present to make the sunset feel like a party. If you choose the Margherita pizza (with Italian tomato, mozzarella, fior di latte, and parmesan), an Imperial Golden will be the perfect pairing thanks to the cereal notes in the beer that match the dough and the freshness of the ingredients. On the other hand, if you go for the Sorrento pizza (with thin slices of potato with rosemary, mascarpone, and fior di latte), an Imperial IPA will pair wonderfully with the rosemary and parmesan due to its citrusy and floral characteristics.
  • The proposal of combining pastry and savory dishes will be carried out by Las Flores with two items that will make your mouth water just by hearing their names. First, the Artichoke, Cuartirolo cheese, and lemon pastries, unbeatable companions to an Imperial APA thanks to the balance between its bitterness and the lemon in the recipe. Then, the Patagonian lamb pastries with yasgua, which pair perfectly with an Imperial Extra Lager, adding freshness and flavor to the dish without stealing the spotlight.
  • Argentinian culinary identity will have a special place at this event, mainly through La Cabrera, the grill restaurant featured in the world’s top rankings. Their dish will be a ribeye sandwich, best paired with an Imperial IPA, a beer with a high alcohol percentage that helps balance the richness of the meat. Its bitterness will enhance the flavors.
  • Finally, the house burger—featuring a double beef patty, blue cheese, grilled mushrooms, and onion compote—will be the ideal dish for an Imperial Stout. Thanks to its caramel notes, it will cut through the intensity of the beef and blue cheese flavors. It’s also a flavor you could incorporate directly into the recipe, for example, by cooking the onion compote with the same beer.

If you're a food lover, enjoy beer, or simply want to spend a different kind of day, this sunset is an opportunity you can’t miss. The best chefs in Buenos Aires + great beer + DJ music = a perfect plan.
