Summer vacation is approaching: kids have more free time, and parents have fewer ideas on how to entertain them. Sound familiar? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered with some fun and original options to save the day.

1. Casa Gerbera

A bookstore and cultural center located in the heart of the Boedo neighborhood, where stories "come to life." Kids can have tea with the Mad Hatter in the magical world of Alice in Wonderland, travel to Willy Wonka's sweet universe, take a surprising walk with Harry Potter and Hermione, and the bravest can venture into Stephen King’s terrifying stories.

With playful and immersive experiences, the goal at Casa Gerbera is to allow young readers to dive into each story and take part in various workshops, shows, and artistic activities to "live the stories."

The cherry on top is their own publishing house with a catalog specially designed for young readers, offering some gems to take home and continue enjoying the pleasure of reading.

Where: Estados Unidos 4167, Boedo. Check activities here.

2. Wow City

Wow City is a play area with a mini-city where the little ones can take over spaces usually reserved for adults and explore at their own pace. It also features a hospital with a UV ray room, a nursery, and an operating room; a mechanic workshop for tire changes and technical checkups; and a bakery section where kids can explore the secrets of cooking after going through the supermarket.

The most popular spot? The two-story construction tower with bricks to build walls, a slide, a ball pit, and even a suction tube. They’re also planning a soft play area with a farm theme for the little ones. While the kids play at being grown-ups, adults can enjoy a nice coffee with various sweet and savory options.

3. Game House

Game House features some of the most surprising and complete escape rooms with options for all tastes: "Guardian of the Night" is a dark mystery to test participants’ bravery; "Infiltrated in the White House" involves espionage, intrigue, and action; "The Other Side" is a mind-blowing journey into an unknown dimension; "Paraná Airlines" turns into a flight full of surprises and puzzles to solve; "Most Wanted Narc" challenges you to find a dangerous criminal; and "The Heist" is a challenge to steal the most unique gem.

Each of these experiences is a live adventure for teams of 2 to 8 people, who must solve the mysteries within 60 minutes to escape. It’s also a great option for birthday parties, as they offer sum, quincho, terrace, and various catering options.

4. Desafío Fútbol

Got football fans at home? We recommend a place where football is in every corner. Desafío Fútbol offers over 15 group or individual challenges for football lovers: from classics like "Metegolazo" or precision games, to rarities like an interactive Tic-Tac-Toe or a combined competition with basketball. Each station is designed for kids to train, have fun, and show off their skills.

Sessions last an hour, and it’s suitable for kids aged 5 and up, but be warned, parents can also join in and have fun. The vibe? Just like being on the field, with murals of Argentina’s top football idols where you can snap photos with your favorites.

5. Artina Café

Artina Café is the first art café in Buenos Aires, and it became an instant hit. A unique experience that blends art and flavor, allowing kids to enjoy a tasty snack while developing their artistic skills through painting. The options are diverse: from fun plaster figures, to cushions, tote bags, mugs, and candle holders.

It’s an entertaining and stimulating plan to bring out the artist in everyone and enjoy a wide menu that includes sandwiches, pastries, coffee, ice cream, and even gluten-free products.
