From a new edition of Casa FOA in the city’s downtown area, to a unique Puro Diseño fashion show, bike or walking tours through different neighborhoods, and the Architecture Biennial, October in Buenos Aires will fully celebrate Design and Architecture Month, promoted by the Buenos Aires City Government.
The goal of the initiative is to honor these two disciplines that focus on improving our city and our quality of life. The list of activities is diverse, so before continuing, grab your agenda!

1) Design circuits
Get ready to discover the most important design spots in each neighborhood of Buenos Aires, guided by Marcela Fibbiani, a journalist specializing in the subject. The walking tours will take place on Fridays and Saturdays in October. The first tour is through Chacarita and La Paternal on Friday, October 4, and you can sign up here. Additionally, there will be a bike tour alongside Open House through Puerto Madero on Saturday, October 12, during the Architecture Biennial.
2) Casa FOA
This architecture, interior design, landscaping, and industrial design exhibition is one of the most anticipated cultural events in Buenos Aires. The 40th edition will take place from October 30 to December 1 at the Edificio del Plata, Carlos Pellegrini 251. The event has an entrance fee. More information here.
3) Tech talks
For the first time, Globant, a technology company, will host a series of talks given by various speakers at their Globant Tower offices. The event will be on October 24, from 1:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., and pre-registration is required via this link. The bonus? Attendees will be able to tour the facilities and enjoy virtual reality experiences.

4) University expos
The Universities of Belgrano, UCA (Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina), UADE (Argentine University of Business), UM (University of Morón), UTDT (Torcuato Di Tella University), and UP (University of Palermo) will exhibit design students’ work, and both in-person and virtual talks will be held. UBA FADU (School of Architecture, Design and Urbanism at the University of Buenos Aires) will host the Architecture Festivals “Arquisur and Creta.”
5) Puro Diseño
On Tuesday, October 8 at 7:00 p.m., the event will feature a fashion show and a proposal that combines the culinary and design worlds at VIAVIVA (La Pampa and Virrey Vértiz, Belgrano). There will also be activities at open design studios and galleries with exhibitions, surprises, and new offerings.

6) Buenos Aires International Architecture Biennial
Conferences, workshops, and a central exhibition will be held from October 9 to 13 at the Faena Art Center, Aimé Painé 1169.
