In recent months, new restaurants have joined the province's culinary offerings, bringing freshness, creativity, and a diversity that invites you to explore every corner with a fork in hand. 1. Hábitat

This gastronomic and recreational proposal just opened in front of the lake in the largest green lung of the City of Mendoza. It’s perfect for those passing through Parque San Martín and for anyone looking for an alternative at any time of the day.

The menu at Hábitat ranges from peaceful, work-friendly mornings to sunset drinks at the bar and evening dishes to pair with wines and beers – here are more restaurants with dishes to nibble on in Mendoza.

Chef Ginella Mazzocca designs the diverse menu using local ingredients. Diners can enjoy the ground floor, a bar with lake views, a deck, picnic service outdoors in the park gardens, or the terrace.

Tip: The renowned small-plates restaurant Cocina Gardenia moves to the terrace of this space, offering the same service but in a new setting, perfect for a picnic with friends.

2. Flor del Desierto

Flavors, colors, and textures make up the universe of Flor del Desierto, a relaxed yet fancy restaurant. Its menu blends familiar and new flavors, guided by creativity and innovation, aiming to find possibilities in the simplest things.

The cuisine is dynamic, diverse, and fusion-based, with traditional Argentine flavors taken to new territory using modern techniques, always respecting the product. The wine list includes national and Mendoza wineries, as well as small-batch, artisan wines.

Tip: The chef is Aris Pabón, a Colombian by birth and an itinerant cook by vocation. He has led kitchens at Chila, Boragó (Chile), and Disfrutar (Spain). His entire team is Latin American.

3. Urrutigoity Cocina

Urrutigoity Cocina is a gastronomic space offering a 360° sensory experience, thanks to its combination of flavors and textures, cozy atmosphere with minimalist oriental décor, ambient music, and nature-inspired colors.

Chef María Urrutigoity designs an “authentic” cuisine under the "glocal" concept, blending cultures such as Japanese, Indian, and Nikkei with Mendoza products and techniques.

Tip: A cooking school was created where the chef teaches themed live classes. Groups of enthusiasts cook a recipe and then enjoy it.

4. Auténtico

On one of the busiest streets in the city, you’ll find Auténtico, a fresh, disruptive, joyful, and very Mendoza-style dining experience. The kitchen combines techniques, textures, and colors while merging cultures and highlighting regional, seasonal ingredients.

This “sanctuary” brings together meat, embers, and wine, drawing inspiration from ancient techniques, nature, authenticity, and tradition. Chef Fernando Popoff combines grilling and oven techniques to preserve the original juices and flavors of each dish.

The façade of Chama glows as if wrapped in flames, inviting passersby to experience a sensory journey. Inside, the ambiance complements its identity with red-toned floors that evoke the embers of the fire, as well as welcoming lighting and décor details.

Tip: The Josper oven is the heart of Chama’s kitchen—a cooking device that combines a wood-fired grill and oven, preserving the traditional aromas and flavors of the food.

6. Chipirón

This seafood and wine restaurant offers a unique culinary experience in the province, focusing on freshness and product quality. Chipirón is committed to sustainability and responsible fishing—100% natural and environmentally respectful.

The naval aesthetic and details transport diners to the Atlantic coast, where the menu unites mountain flavors with seafood delights. The wine list plays a starring role in this restaurant.

Tip: This project was created through a collaboration between renowned winemaker Alejandro Vigil and chef Francisco Rosat, known for his restaurant Lo de Fran, one of the best gastronomic venues in Mar del Plata.

Sourdough and love are the main ingredients of Cora's cuisine. You’ll find them in small plates to share with beer, in fresh pastries for coffee and cold drinks, and in the more formal options of starters, mains, and desserts ideal for pairing with wine or sparkling wine.

Its different spaces—indoor, deck, or sidewalk—are designed for a full day experience, from breakfast to dinner, with the freshest and most artisanal flavors.

“Come hungry,” is the slogan of this trendy sandwich spot in Mendoza. Guchini is an innovative street food concept offering sandwiches made with focaccia bread in the heart of the city.

The menu includes simple and delightful options like prosciutto, arugula, and basil pesto; mortadella with pistachios and stracciatella; and the vegetarian “La Patrona” with eggplant schnitzel, fresh vegetables, and lemony aioli. Lemonades and sodas are also available.

Tip: It’s the venture of Fede Robello, a young entrepreneur and influencer, just 20 years old, who is building a business with a future that resonates across generations.

10. Margha Pizza

Facundo Escoriaza runs Margha Pizza, a project specializing in slow-fermented, sourdough pizzas made with seasonal ingredients, coming out of a wood-fired oven ready to enjoy.

In the courtyard and sidewalk of a house turned pizzeria, afternoons take on a new meaning and flavor, with seven varieties, including creative ones like kimchi with parmesan and hakusai, or figs with gorgonzola and toasted walnuts. Desserts, wines, beers, and vermouths complete the menu.

Tip: The project started on a food truck and gained such popularity that they now have a brick-and-mortar restaurant in Godoy Cruz, attracting pizza lovers.
