If your next destination is the province of sunshine and fine wine with friends, there are must-do plans to ensure a 360° experience. The best sunsets for unforgettable evenings, visiting iconic and Instagrammable spots, or relaxing in a spa after a long day at the wineries are just some of the options we suggest to help you plan your experience without missing anything.

An ideal plan for women who want to disconnect from the routine and enjoy a few days of good energy, mountains, and a wide variety of options to discover. The only agenda you'll follow is the one you create yourselves based on the day, afternoon, and/or night outings you choose. Not everything involves drinking wine, although if you wish, you certainly can.

The answer to "What to do in Mendoza with friends?" is provided below with the best plans, including tours, sunsets, nature, gastronomy, art, and wines, among other alternatives that will make this getaway an unforgettable experience.

1. Sunset at the foot of the andes at Viamonte Winery

A must-do when visiting Mendoza is enjoying the sunset at a winery because a toast with friends amidst the vineyards is a moment that lasts forever, right?

The idea is to enjoy the sun, taste the wines and tapas options while listening to music, making that chill moment the best of all. At Viamonte Sunset, all of this happens, and the best part is that it's only 15 minutes from the City of Mendoza.

On Fridays from 6:30 PM to 12:30 AM, Viamonte Winery offers fun sunsets, unique views of the Andes, and the chance to dance during the sunset outdoors with a live DJ.

The tip: The 2024 sunset season starts on September 27th, and tickets are already available on their social media. We recommend reserving your spot in advance as it is in high demand.

Where: Viamonte Winery, Viamonte 962, Chacras de Coria.

2. Bike tour through wineries in Maipú or Luján de Cuyo

Riding the Wine and Olive Roads by bike is another unmissable recommendation in Mendoza. Pedaling through vineyards, with stops at prestigious wineries, is ideal for getting to know the landscapes and vines of the wine-producing areas. In addition to tasting the labels at each location, there are Maipú olive oils, typical dishes, and regional snacks.

Wine and Ride takes care of everything: reservations for winery visits, the bike, helmet, medical and mechanical assistance, and even civil liability insurance. You just need to show up at the starting point in comfortable clothing.

The tip: There are two available circuits; Maipú and Luján de Cuyo. We recommend the former, which includes a visit to Laur, the olive oil producer that has been ranked #1 in the world for the third consecutive year.

Where: Wine and Ride, Ozamis 611, Maipú or on their website www.wineandride.com.ar.

3. Experience Las Palapas in Potrerillos

This has become almost a mandatory stop on a girls' trip to Mendoza. Going to Las Palapas is a whole new experience of connecting with nature through the ancestral rituals that take place there, the gourmet cuisine, and the sets by renowned musical artists.

International and national DJs choose to perform in this unique setting in Argentina, located at the foot of the Potrerillos Dam with mountains surrounding the space. Meanwhile, all visitors to the province opt for this "magical village" to experience the most natural and special sunsets.

The tip: You can inquire about the official transport, as it is 60 minutes from the City. This way, the journey begins with the impressive views of the road and the mountains and ends with the tranquility of having lived a magical experience.

Where: Las Palapas, located at the Gran Hotel Potrerillos in Mendoza.

4. Signature cocktails from the 10th Floor

Exploring Plaza Independencia and then walking along Peatonal Sarmiento are the two moments before a high-flying date with your friends at Gómez Rooftop, the bar with personality and style that you reach after going up 10 floors in an elevator.

The warm lights of its interior and an exclusive terrace with panoramic views of the City are a privilege. Art is imprinted in every detail of its design, which perfectly blends with its signature cocktail menu and a gastronomic proposal to enjoy a relaxed dinner.

The tip: We recommend trying the Aguaribay, a signature cocktail made with gin, pink pepper, and thyme, which sweetens it, plus a touch of spiciness to balance it with the citrus of the lemon.

5. Organic wine tasting at Envinados Mendoza

This wine bar offers a new twist on the experience of tasting different labels or varietals. Here, all wines are natural, organic, and biodynamic.

Envinados' proposal includes workshops and tastings guided by sommeliers, who also help us choose which bottle to buy as a souvenir. The must-do when visiting this wine shop is to toast right there with a glass of wine in hand.

The tip: On Friday nights, the house chef prepares gourmet hot dogs with different toppings to make the wine-drinking experience relaxed.

Where: Olascoaga 735, 5th Section, City of Mendoza.

6. Chill day at El Roble WakePark, Mendoza’s beach bar

Arriving at this place is like transporting yourself to the beach, even though it’s close to the Mendoza mountains! El Roble WakePark is an outdoor sports complex set in a natural environment designed especially for entertainment, gastronomy, and good times.

Its main attraction is the cable that crosses the lagoon for wakeboarding by turns, combined with its straw umbrellas and loungers, and a park under the olive trees inviting relaxation and enjoyment of a sunny afternoon. Here, each member of the group can choose the plan that best suits their style.

The beach bar with sand and chiringuitos is the ideal space to relax after doing some sport and/or to go straight to enjoy a beer, a wine, or a fruit mocktail with a burger or colorful salad.

The tip: Every weekend, there are sunsets for dancing, live shows with local bands and musicians, fairs, and gastronomic events.

Where: El Roble WakeComplex, Julio Argentino Roca 2787-3767, Coquimbito, Maipú.

It’s only 20 minutes from the City, and art is in the air in several of its corners, making it the perfect urban center to find gifts or souvenirs with identity that you’ll want to take home from this special trip with friends.

9. Spa circuit at Entre Cielos Hotel

To truly disconnect from the routine, we recommend reserving a full day at the spa in the Entre Cielos Hotel. They offer four circuits that invite us to focus on the well-being of our body, mind, and soul.

Cibeles Sense Day, Gea Traditional Day, Malika, and Entre Cielos Green are the options, and we recommend the first, which lasts approximately 6 hours. Body massages with foam and aromatic oils, an aromatherapy facial, relaxation time in the Camekan room, a 3-course lunch at the hotel’s exclusive restaurant, and the opportunity to complete the traditional Hamam circuit (the first and only Turkish bath in Latin America). The perfect combination that deserves to be experienced.

The tip: They offer exclusive treatments based on grapes; they take advantage of the restorative qualities of wine by using grape seeds and extracts to protect the skin and leave a revitalizing sensation.

Where: Entre Cielos Hotel, Guardia Vieja 1998, Vistalba.

One of the most entertaining and interesting activities is to take the tourist bus and enjoy a guided tour through the cultural, historical, and tourist spots of Mendoza’s capital city.

The City Bus tour offers views from four meters high and has 10 strategic stops at iconic locations. It features a hop-on-hop-off service, allowing you to freely explore parks, emblematic plazas, museums, and historic buildings.

Taking a stroll through General San Martín Park (designed by the renowned French architect and landscape designer Carlos Thays), stopping for lunch at a resto-bar on Av. Arístides Villanueva, or discovering the city’s history at one of its museums are some of the must-do activities.
