Wines, landscapes, and signature cuisine: Discover the most outstanding places in Valle de Uco.

Vineyards, mountains, wide skies, farms, fruit trees, poplars, fine wines, and delicious cuisine — that’s Valle de Uco. From any spot, you can see the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, sometimes illuminated by the Mendoza sun, shining over vineyards and farms alike. Long rows of poplars frame the landscape, stretching along roads or fields planted with garlic, onions, fruit trees, and other crops native to the west.

If you look up, you may spot birds like chimangos or hawks; with patience and a bit of luck, you might even see condors. Occasionally, you might also catch sight of guanacos or, at certain times of the year, an Andean fox moving through the shrubs.

Dining in Valle de Uco is a direct encounter with the beauty of Mendoza. Restaurants, some Michelin-starred, are strategically located to allow guests to savor both food and wine while enjoying privileged views. The scenery changes with the seasons: lush green in summer, golden in autumn. The terraces and large windows provide a sense of tranquility and space in the valley as you enjoy local dishes and wines.

3. Cundo

In the heart of Paraje Altamira, Carla and Sebastián Juez opened Cundo in 2019, a space to share their love for wine and rural life. Located on a family estate with over 100 years of history, for Sebastián, this place means more than just an inherited farm; it holds memories of his childhood, like horseback riding along the row of poplars or resting under the fig tree still standing there today. “It’s no coincidence that Cundo is here; it’s what allows us to convey our love for the land, confirmed by the surrounding environment. The name is in honor of my Tata Cundo,” Sebastián shares.

The restaurant offers wine tastings from boutique wineries, artisan cheese boards, and seasonal dishes. The menu includes around 25 varieties of vegetables, six types of proteins, sprouts, flowers, emulsions, and a wide range of ingredients coming together in a complex yet distinctive menu.
