With everyone back to their routine—kids back to school (along with the usual school supply shopping) and parents back to the office—a principle we hold at Time Out (and try to reflect in our weekly agendas) is that Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays don’t have to be dull and repetitive. Sometimes we suggest fun activities, and other times, like in this article, we tempt you to try a different lunch. Maybe grab a quick pizza or a hearty meal that could make any day feel different.

1. La Guitarrita

If the day catches you off guard and busy, a great way to slow down is by enjoying a delicious Porteño-style pizza and (if possible) a pint of Imperial. La Guitarrita is not only one of the most iconic in the city but also offers some of the best wood-fired stone pizzas. In this article, we share other pizzerias worth checking out.

At the Las Lomitas (Lomas de Zamora) branch, from Monday to Friday, from 12 pm to 4 pm, you can enjoy a fugazzeta with provolone and ham with a drink for $6,800. You can also double the order and take home two slices of mozzarella-filled pizza. The idea is to order, eat, and go. We recommend pairing it with an Imperial Golden, which is easy to drink and refreshing.

Tip: If you pay in cash at the counter, you’ll also get a 10% discount.

Where: Las Lomitas Street, Italia 459, Lomas de Zamora.

2. Voulezbar

On one of the most beautiful boulevards in the city, this restaurant is perfect for a team lunch or just to take a break with something tasty and hearty. Every weekday, from Monday to Friday, this place offers several executive menu options: you can choose the dish of the day alone or with an Imperial for $21,000 (price at the time of publication).

The options are very varied and change every week. For example, you can enjoy a funghi risotto with an Imperial APA, a beer with balanced bitterness and citrus aromas, or a chicken breast with gremolata of roasted tomatoes and citrus mashed potatoes, ideal to pair with an Imperial Golden, smooth and refreshing.

Tip: Check out the daily dish on their Instagram account.

Where: Av. Cerviño 3802, Palermo.

3. Bodegón Devoto

A delicious lunch might not solve all your problems, but it could make your day a little better. At this classic bodegón, they offer a daily menu from Monday to Friday, from 12 pm to 4 pm, which includes an appetizer, main dish, and dessert or coffee. You can also opt for the daily plate that includes the main dish and lemonade.

Menus change weekly, and you can choose from different options at each step. For example, starters might include potato omelette or onion empanada, the main course could be roasted meat with wedge potatoes or a lentil burger with salad. For dessert, there’s a mini flan or mini chocotorta. We recommend pairing it with an Imperial IPA, with citrus aromas, perfect for pairing with well-seasoned dishes.

Tip: Reserve your table or order for takeaway at 11 7096-1405.

Where: Av. Chivilcoy 3818, Devoto.

4. El Club de la Birra

Several options for simple dishes accompanied by a drink and dessert are offered at the Club de la Birra’s branches in Colegiales and Recoleta every weekday, from 12 pm to 4 pm (weekdays only).

For example, you can order a schnitzel with mashed potatoes, Caesar salad, chicken sandwich, or a veggie sandwich with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. To accompany, you could choose an Imperial Golden, light-bodied with a refreshing touch, or an Extra Lager with good body and a special flavor from its malts.

Tip: Every day, from 5 pm to 8 pm, they have happy hour on beer and drinks at all their locations. In this article, we share other great happy hour spots in the city.

Where: Pres. Roberto M. Ortiz 1871, Recoleta; Zapiola 131, Colegiales.
