Lo de Jesús, A Place with History

It’s not every day that you have the chance to dine in a place with decades of history that is still as alive as ever in every corner of the restaurant. It all began in 1953 when Spanish immigrant Jesús Pernas, along with his wife Lola, opened a small neighborhood store in Palermo that became a gathering spot for locals. Over time, the place evolved into a classic Buenos Aires bodegón and eventually became what it is today: a restaurant specializing in grilled meats.

What’s on the Menu at Lo de Jesús

The experience at this grill and restaurant begins as soon as you arrive and choose where to sit. You can opt for a table on the sidewalk, a corner in the cool garden, or an intimate space in the main dining room.

Then, when you open the menu to decide what to eat, you’ll be surprised to discover that it has been carefully designed by renowned chef Darío Gualtieri (Hotel Llao Llao, Hotel Hyatt, Amarra).

Bife de chorizo, short ribs, or the star cut of 2024: the tomahawk, which at Lo de Jesús weighs 1600 g and is an ideal choice for sharing. Each piece of meat is aged between 15 and 21 days using the wet aging method, ensuring a tender texture and intense flavors.
