The musical year kicks off with international shows for all tastes, and Buenos Aires continues to welcome music legends for the delight of fans and music lovers. Pop, rock, metal, jazz, Latin, opera… there’s something for everyone on the 2025 agenda. Here are 20 standout artists to help you plan your calendar and reserve tickets, which beware! sell out fast.

1. Simple Minds

We kick off the concert season with Simple Minds, a legendary band that has just crushed its 2024 tour and promises to do the same in Buenos Aires. The Scottish group led by Jim Kerr returns to our country after 20 long years, presenting a concert that includes big hits like “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” and “Alive and Kicking,” among many others. Some numbers? Throughout their career, the band has sold over 60 million albums, and five of their albums and 21 singles hit number 1 in the UK.

Fun fact: “Don’t You (Forget About Me)” became a generational anthem in the iconic 90s movie The Breakfast Club.

2. Foreigner

The legendary rock band arrives in our country as part of their international tour with original vocalist Lou Gramm at the helm, for a nostalgic show featuring hits like “I Want to Know What Love Is,” “Cold as Ice,” and “Juke Box Hero.” Foreigner formed in the tumultuous 70s, has sold over 80 million albums worldwide, and was (finally) inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2024.

Fun fact: “I Want to Know What Love Is” has over 1 billion streams on Spotify.

3. The Pretenders

Continuing with the classics, The Pretenders, led by the powerful Chrissie Hynde, will perform in Buenos Aires showcasing their latest album Relentless from 2023. The show will also feature big hits like “Don’t Get Me Wrong,” “I’ll Stand By You,” and “Back on the Chain Gang,” from their extensive discography of more than 15 albums over 40 years of underground rock history.

4. Stone Temple Pilots

Two years after their last performance in Argentina, the historic grunge band that made a powerful debut in the 90s and became an instant hit returns to Argentina. With a tumultuous history of internal fights and major hits, Stone Temple Pilots always stood out for their unique sound and the unmistakable riffs of virtuoso guitarist Danny DeLeo.

Fun fact: STP's original singer died in 2015 from a drug and alcohol overdose while on tour.

5. José Carreras

José Carreras, the legendary Spanish tenor, returns to our country as part of his world farewell tour. Carreras is one of the most iconic voices in the world of opera, and in his show, he will perform the best of his discography, including opera arias, popular music classics, and his most recognized songs. Fun fact: In the mid-80s, Carreras was diagnosed with leukemia and took a break from music during which he founded an organization to help fight cancer.

6. Norah Jones

Norah Jones, the most hypnotic voice in jazz, returns to our country six years after her last visit to present her ninth studio album Visions. It’s a vibrant set of 12 songs in which she celebrates the rollercoaster of her life. However, there will also be room for classics like “Don’t Know Why,” “Come Away With Me,” and “Sunrise.” A must-see for jazz lovers and those wanting to know more about the jazz world!

7. Quevedo

The Canarian artist lands in Buenos Aires to present Buenas Noches, his long-awaited second studio album with an innovative 360° show, where the stage takes center stage for the audience to enjoy from all angles. With his unique style that blends reggaeton, pop, rap, and trap, Quevedo quickly became the most-streamed artist in Spain on Spotify, and with his mysterious style, he’s captured audiences around the world.

8. James Blunt

James Blunt, the creator of the mega-hit “You’re Beautiful,” celebrates 20 years of his iconic album Back to Bedlam with a tour that brings him back to Buenos Aires to perform all the songs from the album from start to finish, in addition to the most recognized songs from his other seven albums. This is a great opportunity to review this album, which was one of the 10 best-selling albums of the 2000s with over 12 million copies and received five Grammy nominations.

Kylie Minogue, one of pop's biggest queens, returns to Argentina after 17 years with her new show to present the album Tension II. Born on social media, Jacob Collier went viral at 18 for covering a Stevie Wonder song in his bedroom. Since then, his career skyrocketed with perfect harmonizations and genre-blending including pop, jazz, folk, electronic, and even opera or gospel.

13. Bunbury

Spanish singer, former leader of Héroes del Silencio, returns to Buenos Aires with El Huracán Ambulante Tour, presenting his new album. After suffering throat issues, the artist had announced he wouldn’t be able to perform live again, but the situation reversed, and after recording a new album, Bunbury is performing in nine countries with his unmistakable voice and style that made him one of the most influential musicians in Spanish-speaking music.

Fun fact: The band accompanying Bunbury is the same one that dissolved 20 years ago, also named “El Huracán Ambulante.”

14. Il Volo

Il Volo, the Italian trio consisting of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginobile, who have become a worldwide success with their fusion of opera and contemporary pop, is returning to Argentina to present their latest album “Ad Astra.” They also promise a review of their greatest hits like “Grande Amore,” “La Vita,” “O Sole Mio,” and “Granada,” among many others.

17. Juanes

Juanes, one of Colombia’s most important artists, returns to Argentina with shows in Buenos Aires, Mendoza, and Córdoba. The talented singer-songwriter, who has won 27 Grammy Awards, will present his latest songs along with his greatest hits like “A Dios Le Pido,” “Volverte a Ver,” “La Camisa Negra,” and “Es Por Ti,” among many others.

Fun fact: Juanes began his career in Medellín at the age of 15 in a heavy metal band called Ekhymosis.

18. Linkin Park

Linkin Park, the rock/metal band, returns to the stage with their “From Zero World Tour,” and Argentina could not be left out of this long-awaited return. After the suicide of Chad Bennington, the original vocalist, fans around the world thought it would be the end of the band, but seven years later, they returned with Emily Armstrong as lead vocalist and a new drummer.

19. Dua Lipa

Fans of British singer Dua Lipa in Argentina have something to celebrate because she is returning to our country for the third time with her Radical Optimism Tour, named after her third studio album. The show promises a mix of her greatest hits and the presentation of her new material, which takes a more psychedelic pop direction without losing her dance essence.

Fun fact: Tickets for the November 7 show sold out in just one hour, and the production decided to add a second concert the following day.
