This time of year is perfect for choosing an outdoor table at your favorite restaurant and indulging in an epicurean experience with the breeze on your face and the sounds of a calmer, more relaxed Buenos Aires summer.

We’ve selected four spots where this is possible. Check them out and pick your favorite for your next outdoor foodie outing in the city.

1. Ávito Bistró & Café deck

In Devoto, the new gastronomic hub of Buenos Aires, you'll find Ávito, a place worth visiting at any time, but especially during the day.

One of the things that makes this bistro & café unique is that it’s located in a former convent of nuns. Its decor blends ancient objects with modern design details, and the high ceilings and large windows allow natural light to filter in, creating an attractive play of light and shadow.

Outside, the deck tables invite you to enjoy the food and the quiet movement of the neighborhood. With pergolas and ethereal curtains that protect from the sun, giving the space a unique touch, you can enjoy everything from laminated cookies and handmade cakes with specialty coffee to seasonal plates with a delicious cocktail.

Pro tip: During the week, they also offer an executive menu for just $17,500, including a main dish, dessert, and drink.

Where: Pareja 3670, Devoto.

2. Cang Tin's sidewalk

Buenos Aires is increasingly offering more Asian cuisine options, and one of our favorites is Cang Tin, which will transport you directly to the typical markets of Vietnam.

Its strategic location, where Dorrego Street intersects with the train tracks, highlights the street-food vibe, and the sidewalk is a favorite for its colorful low tables and steps for a relaxed eating experience. From there, you can see the restaurant's vibrant interior, full of bright colors, LED lights, natural plants, and fresh flowers.

What to eat at Cang Tin? Traditional dishes from Vietnam and Thailand, with many options meant to be eaten with your hands and shared among several. The sweet, spicy, and sour flavors typical of these cuisines come together in essential dishes like fried pork or mushroom nems, trout summer rolls, chicken satay, and grilled squid.

Pro tip: For dessert, try the Japanese cheesecake.

Where: Dorrego 2415, Palermo.

3. Soler Vino Pizza terrace

The new Soler Vino Pizza location is in an old house in Villa Crespo, with a small outdoor patio and a large open-air terrace.

This summer, the plan is to meet up and enjoy their carefully selected natural wines, paired with Roman-style wood-fired pizzas. Additionally, every Sunday from 7 p.m., they host the Terraza Vermouthera series, offering a typical “Sunday vibes” experience with live DJ music and vermouth at promotional prices. The idea is to sit on beach chairs, watch the sunset, chat, enjoy good music, and sip something delicious.

Pro tip: The Stracciatella pizza with Italian tomato sauce, stracciatella, confit garlic, and basil is a must-try.

Where: Darwin 995, Villa Crespo.

4. Condarco corner

Condarco Corner in Chacarita, the coolest neighborhood in Buenos Aires according to Time Out Travel, is already a classic meeting point for those looking for a relaxed experience with great food at friendly prices—an offer hard to resist, right?

As the sun sets, this place, with its classic and contemporary aesthetic, offers small and medium dishes to pair with vermouth and carefully selected wines. The sidewalk is spacious and quiet, with a large number of iron tables spread across the corner and both sides. It’s the preferred spot during this time, especially for groups of friends, whose lively conversations create an animated and casual atmosphere.

Pro tip: You can't leave without trying the creamy Spanish omelet and the finely shredded cabbage with furikake. Two hits.

Where: Av. Dorrego 901, Chacarita.
