A smashed burger or grilled provoleta.

8. Buena Birra Social Club

From Ariel and his friends' home on Zapiola street in Colegiales to the heart of Chacarita. Initially, they transformed the ground floor of their house into a refuge to enjoy beers and homemade pizzas. That first closed brewpub in CABA was the beginning of the adventure. Here, they have classic beers like Helles and IPA, and the exclusive Nitro Stout from Buena Birra Social Club stands out. After 14 years in the market, pizzas are still THE standout dish on the menu.

The tip: The bar feels like the owners' home. It has their personal touch and is full of signs, coasters, travel souvenirs, and details that customers have gifted them over the years.

9. Cerdos Voladores

The bar's goal? To be a protagonist of the Argentine "Craft" beer revolution. The result? An authentic beer temple serving a wide variety of styles and the best breweries in the country. An example is Minga's "Non stop" American IPA. Cerdos Voladores has exclusive taps for serving nitrogenated styles, like Beata's "Nitro" Scottish, whose dense and creamy foam elevates the experience. With the chef's homemade burgers, you have the ideal plan for any day. Delicious beer, burgers, and friends. What more could you ask for?

The tip: The name Cerdos Voladores (Flying Pigs) comes from Pink Floyd's "Animals" album and is present in all their decoration, vibe, and communication of their "chiqueros" (as they call their different locations).

Where: Boulevard Dardo Rocha 2002, San Isidro, next to the Hipódromo. Av. Del Libertador 82, San Fernando.

10. Temple Bar

Four friends, a bit of luck, and a classic Irish bar called Temple Bar in Buenos Aires. In 2010, they bought it and gave it a twist: they turned "the usual bar" into THE place for craft beer. The first one out was the mythical Temple Beer, and the favorite of all IPA enthusiasts (as they call the bar's customers) is the Wolf IPA. The party never stops, with DJ cycles and live music every night. They have over 18 bars spread across Argentina, and each one has something special to offer.

The tip: Tacos, burgers, and pizza are the bar's ideal snacks. They also offer vegan options.

Where: know all their branches.

11. 7030 Bar

The initial inspiration was Fernet with Coke, hence the name of the bar (it is said that to make a good Fernet, you need 70% Coke and 30% Fernet). But that wasn’t enough: in 2017, Francisco Conte, Christian Soldan, and Gustavo Romanach ventured into the beer world with their own brewery, keeping the name of their old bar, 7030.

The stars are the Lager, a classic loved for its freshness and drinkability, and the American IPA, a golden brew that surprises with its medium-high bitterness and citrus and tropical flavors.

Tip: The menu includes classics like osso buco croquettes, Swiss chard fritters, and calamari, as well as burrata with prosciutto and tasty tacos. Looking for something more substantial? Order a delicious ribeye steak or a good Napolitan milanesa.

Where: Vicente López 2116, Recoleta. Arribeños 3486, Núñez. Gurruchaga 1493, Palermo.

12. Cervecería Untertürkheim

An Argentine family, searching for their German roots, ended up opening a brewery in honor of their great-great-grandfather who emigrated from Untertürkheim to Villa General Belgrano. Since 2004, this place has been the epicenter of imported beers and some national gems. What makes them unique? The decoration and glassware are the highlights of the brewery. They are collectors, and the decor is unmissable. They have an incredible variety of beers, but the favorite is Schöfferhofer, a German wheat beer that flies off the shelves.

On St. Patrick's Day, IPA Day, Oktoberfest, and the bar’s birthday, there are special events with promotions and raffles all day long.

Tip: Don’t miss their famous two-liter boot glass!

Where: Humberto 1º 899.

13. Cervecería Álvarez

After years of traveling and tasting beers around the world, the owner noticed that Buenos Aires lacked an authentic place where you would be welcomed like at home, greeted by name, and could feel completely relaxed while enjoying a good beer without worries. The bar stands out by fusing the cozy atmosphere of German breweries with the vibrant ambiance of American bars. You can enjoy sports events surrounded by neon lights, as if you were in Las Vegas.

The queen of beers is the American IPA, the favorite of customers.

Tip: To accompany, order the milanesa for 4 people with bacon, fried eggs, cheeses, and French fries.

Where: Pedro Goyena 199.

14. Peñón del Águila

Peñón del Águila first emerged as a tourist and real estate project in the German area of Córdoba, in La Cumbrecita, with a theme park and games. Then, they thought: "What's missing here?" The answer was clear: "Obviously, beer!" So in 2013, after several rounds, they launched their first commercial beers.

The best-seller? The Oktoberfest, which is like a piece of Bavaria in your glass: a red Lager with malts that give it that copper color and a touch of bread, caramel, and crust that transports you directly to Germany. To accompany, mozzarella tequeños are a must.

Tip: One of their branches is a floating island in Puerto Madero with an incredible panoramic view of the Women's Bridge.

Where: Pierina Dealessi 701, Puerto Madero. Diagonal 74 1560, La Plata. San Juan 25, Florencio Varela. Del Valle Iberlucea 2617, Lanús.

15. La Birrería

The after-office spot you were looking for: with happy hour until 8:30 pm. At La Birrería, the experience is complete: good ambiance, specially chosen playlists, and it’s even pet-friendly!

They offer different styles for all palates: there are hop-forward beers, malt-oriented ones, and others with high alcohol content. Mark these three dates on your calendar: St. Patrick's Day, IPA Day, and Oktoberfest. For all of them, there are activities, decorations, and several special beers designed for the occasion.

Tip: Order the Jack Daniel's burger with an American Amber Ale. The pleasure is all ours (and yours, of course).

Where: Lavalle 3602, Almagro. Ortega y Gasset 1899, Cañitas. Honduras 5502, Palermo. Alicia M. de Justo 152, Puerto Madero. Bolívar 1701, San Telmo. Vera 601, Villa Crespo. Cuenca 3035, Villa del Parque. Av. Alsina 1001, Banfield. Carlos Tejedor 257, Lanús.
