The Copa América 2024, the most attractive tournament in South America at the national team level after the World Cup, takes place from June 20 to July 14 in the United States. Argentina aims to defend its champion title on Sunday the 14th at 9 p.m., against Colombia.

We have put together a list of the best bars and restaurants in Buenos Aires to watch the Copa América 2024 Final, so that the experience of watching the matches can be accompanied by a delicious drink, a good beer, or a platter, and of course, a vibrant football atmosphere.

1. El Patio de los Lecheros

This place has history. It used to be a milkmen’s patio, literally, as it was the station where milk arrived and was distributed around the city by workers. The venue was closed in 1961 and reopened in 2016 as a gastronomic space.

Today, El Patio de los Lecheros is an attractive spot in Buenos Aires offering a wide variety of food: you can find Mexican, Colombian, and Asian dishes, as well as pizzas, pastas, and grilled items. There are two bars with draft beer and signature cocktails; plus, they have ice cream and coffee stands. And of course, a giant screen to watch the Copa América 2024.

What’s the best part? They always organize entertainment. There are magic shows, DJs, live bands, or shows for kids.

Fun fact: Outside, you can find portraits of Diego Armando Maradona created by the renowned artist Maxi Bagnasco.

Where: Donato Álvarez 185, Bacacay 1686, Caballito/Flores

2. The Oldest Bar

With an English aesthetic but an Argentine heart, this bar surprises in its two locations. It has TVs for watching football day and night. It's ideal to arrive early and pick the best seats facing the TV, so you can enjoy it like at home but with the added charm of one of the most picturesque bars in Buenos Aires. Cozy, with antique touches, soft lighting, and distinctive details, it’s almost a must to go to The Oldest and have a good time. The menu is diverse and of high quality: from fries with various sauces to typical Argentine dishes like the glorious milanesa. For snacks, you’ll find everything from breaded mozzarella sticks to smoked salmon geishas or burrata. The drink menu matches this vibe with a wide range of beverages from around the world and premium cocktails.

Fun fact: We recommend ordering the "Tachame la doble," an XXL burger perfect for sharing, while watching the matches.

With a century of history in the Almagro neighborhood, this bar was founded in 1923 under the name El Asturiano but changed its name six years later when customers and friends began bringing pennants from their favorite clubs. The walls gradually filled up, earning it fame for its extensive collection of pennants.

In recent years, it underwent renovations that made it more beautiful and expanded its menu, almost like a traditional café, with tables outside welcoming people of all ages in a warmly attentive environment. Naturally, they’ll be broadcasting the Copa América 2024 here.

You can discuss match situations with other tables (no fighting allowed) or hug and make friends when a goal is scored. Many tourists often visit, adding another point in favor for watching the game and engaging in heated debates. One of the bar’s signature drinks is the Chili Bomb, a cocktail made with vodka, Red Bull, and Tabasco, which, as the name suggests, is a little bomb to drink whether your team wins or loses.

Fun fact: The happy hour often lasts until 10 PM, later than most bars. Perfect timing for a match.
