If your day was tough or stressful, I have the recipe to make your mood change completely—even if just for a few hours. If I mention an outdoor table, a cold Imperial beer, and a relaxed chat with your coworkers or friends, doesn’t that at least bring a smile to your face?

Well, the plans I recommend in this article are perfect for those hot, exhausting afternoons when you need to take a break and unwind before heading home. Most of these spots offer panoramic views, outdoor terraces, and a menu with snacks and beer options.

1. Imperial Beerhouse

Everything a person looks for in an after-office can be found at Imperial Beerhouse: outdoor tables, a great spot to enjoy, cold beer, and a menu with shareable dishes and classic mains like milanesa, entraña, and braised flank steak. It reopened on January 9 and offers Happy Hour with all varieties of Imperial beer until 10 p.m. It’s open Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

Best part: during the summer, they also host live music and DJ events that they post on their Instagram account.

Where: Av. del Libertador 4096, Campo Argentino de Polo, Palermo.

2. Nixxon Pub

Nixxon Pub has outdoor tables surrounded by greenery, and best of all, it’s located on the busy Corrientes Street, making it a great meeting point for those working in the Microcentro.

On weekends, they usually have dinner shows and live performances. The menu is very diverse, with salads, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches, and tapas. For a drink, we recommend an Imperial IPA pint if you like stronger, hoppier beers or an Imperial Roja pint if you prefer something smoother and balanced.

Best part: Nixxon is inside the Paseo de la Plaza, a complex with several theater rooms. You can take advantage of this and plan a different activity with your coworkers or friends.

Where: Av. Corrientes 1660, Paseo de la Plaza, San Nicolás.

3. Bilbao Vermutería

If your coworkers are food lovers, Bilbao Vermutería is the place to be. It offers a complete Spanish-style tapas menu in the heart of Palermo.

Every day from 5 to 10 p.m., they have 2-for-1 deals on drinks and beverages for you to enjoy during after-office hours. We recommend trying the Iberian ham croquettes paired with a fresh and flavorful Imperial Extra Lager.

Best part: it’s open every day from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.

Where: Thames corner Costa Rica, Palermo.

4. Salón 1923

Salón 1923 is an excellent option for exploring the Palacio Barolo, one of Buenos Aires’ most iconic buildings that you should visit at least once, while enjoying stunning panoramic views of the Congress and the Obelisk.

Located on the 16th floor, it offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in the city. From Thursday to Monday, they offer a gourmet tapas menu with dishes like beetroot carpaccio or Italian bruschetta (with burrata, mortadella with chestnuts, and basil mousse). Pair it with an Imperial beer or a classic cocktail.

Best part: it has an indoor space where every Monday and Tuesday in January and February, they host live jazz performances.

Where: Av. de Mayo 1370, Monserrat.

5. Emily Daniels

The stage is the true star at Emily Daniels: there’s always live music and stand-up shows. They also often have 2-for-1 deals on drinks and pizzas. The menu is very complete, with quick bites like burgers and finger foods, as well as milanesa and salads. We recommend trying the Tex-Mex tasting platter (with tacos and quesadillas) paired with an Imperial IPA.

Bonus: this bar is open every day from 5 p.m. (except Sundays when it opens at 6 p.m.) until 3 a.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays, it stays open until 5 a.m.

Where: Av. Maipú 1701, Vicente López.
