Do you know what "Blue Zones" are? They are places where people have a better quality of life, which is why they live happier and longer lives. And this is mainly due to their habits and lifestyle.
The island of Sardinia, in insular Italy, was the first Blue Zone to be discovered. And there are many reasons why life is better there: from their Mediterranean-inspired diet to the geography, as traveling from one place to another involves walking up and down hills. And if we’re being honest, living next to those white sandy beaches and turquoise waters must also contribute a lot. Enjoying the coolness of the water and resting in paradise is quality of life.
Blue Zone Inspiration: Connection and Enjoyment
Spirito Blu, the new London Dry Gin from Branca, is inspired by Sardinia and seeks to convey what attracts us most about this magical island. It transports us to moments of joy with friends, savoring without hurry, and dancing freely. To connect and be present in the here and now... Or to live the “buona vita,” as they say in Sardinia.

That’s why it invited us to experience a sensory journey where we traveled for hours without leaving Buenos Aires. The event took place at Frenessí, the gastronomic immersion capsule in Puerto Madero, which Spirito Blu chose to take us on a trip through 10 worlds: from the Misiones jungle to a wild forest, passing through a landscape of sky-blue ice, a futuristic universe, or the depths of the ocean.
Projections, flavors, sounds, aromas, and the interpretation of the staff helped the guests lose themselves in every step of the journey, transporting us while enjoying each stop with a cocktail specially designed by Juan Luciani, a renowned bartender and brand ambassador. We tasted 10 cocktails crafted to perfectly complement each universe, showing us that Spirito Blu is not only delicious but also very versatile.
The best way to drink Spirito Blu?
“It’s perfect for making a Tom Collins, Negroni, those classic gin cocktails. But to start the night, I prefer it in a traditional Gin Tonic, which is how we recommend drinking it: 30% Spirito Blu, 70% tonic water, and in my case, I like it with a twist of lemon peel,” Juan recommended.

Do you prefer your Gin Tonic with cucumber or rosemary? That works too, but maybe you’ll want to try it with a twist at least once. “The Spirito Blu formula includes three types of citrus, so it’s a slightly citrusy London Dry Gin. The lemon peel adds a nice touch,” the bartender explained.
Final destination: Sardinia
Our sensory journey ended in Sardinia, the inspiration for this fresh and botanical gin. Imagine mountains, midday sun, the Mediterranean sea breeze, the citrus aroma of the place, contagious music. A little shade, your feet in the sand. Your friends enjoying with you, and a perfect cocktail in your hand... Sounds good, right? That’s the “buona vita” Spirito Blu invites us to. The trip is worth it.
