Time Out says

Even if your tolerance for spice falls high on the Scoville Scale, Atomic Burger’s XXX Fallout hot sauce and ghost chilli combo will put your tongue to the test.

Whether it’s smothered over the superb Atomic wings (regular £4.75; large £8.50) or hidden inside the already jam-packed burgers, you are in for a fiery experience that will scorch your taste buds and bring a tear to your eye. For the fainter of heart, there are a number of special recipe burgers to choose from – all succulent and lavished with toppings. The Big Tone burger (£9.35), for example, is a marvellous concoction topped with pork and beef meatballs, pizza sauce and aged cheddar sauce, encased in a bagel bun and served with your choice of side.

If you like your meals to come with a competitive edge, you can always submit yourself to the Fallout Challenge (£25, and you MUST sign a waiver). Two deep-fried pizza buns, a triple stacked burger, triple USA cheese, triple sci-fries and the aforementioned Fallout sauce and ghost chillies, all to be eaten within 45 minutes. If you must attempt it, then you’d be wise to attack the heat first, and use the fatty bun to appease your flaming tongue. Win or lose, you get a T-shirt (survivor for the successful, victim for those who fail), so there is an incentive beyond the bid for glory.
